Hello

My name is Kimberly Bell and I am the Financial Secretary/Membership Committee member at Women Minded Society, Inc.

My Story

I am a married mother of three children, three bonus children and four grandchildren.  I attended Richmond public schools and graduated in 1983.  I went on to attend J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College where I received a certificate in Word Processing.  Several certifications later, I am currently working as a Sr. Technical Writer in IT at a construction engineering firm in North Carolina. Basically, I prepare instruction manuals, how-to guides, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily to the end user.

The first half of my life was wrapped in raising and nurturing my children to the best of my ability--a period in my life that I absolutely loved! Now in my second half of life, it's all about what "I" want to do. I enjoy writing (hence my career choice) and have been journaling since I was about ten years old.  I think it is important to actually write my thoughts, especially during the "rough" periods in my life.  Writing my thoughts down helps me to unpack how and why I feel the way I do and to come up with solutions--it's therapeutic!  I also enjoy traveling with my husband. We make it a point to travel inside and outside the country at least once a quarter. There is so much in this world to see and experience and I want to see it all! I have been a certified personal trainer for over 10 year. I am passionate about health and healing the body holistically through food and movement.  

I have been a member of Women Minded from the very beginning when it was just a thought in 2013.  Now we are a team of beautiful, talented women, always eager to serve the community.  I love to commune on our annual trips, appropriately named “The Experience” – but even more than that, I love having the opportunity to serve the community.
