Hello

My name is Alicia Kennerly and I am the Recording Secretary and Photographer at Women Minded Society, Inc.

My Story

I am a mother of three daughters and proud grandmother of three wonderful grandchildren. I am currently working as a Customer Service Representative. I became part of Women Minded in July 2024, aiming to contribute to community engagement and empower fellow women.

With over 20 years of experience as an Administrative Professional, predominantly in the healthcare field, my passion lies in supporting young individuals. Since 1991, I have intermittently volunteered with youth aged 13-18, providing tutoring to help them succeed in their PSAT exams. These same youths were rewarded with weekly trips to the pool for their hard work. Additionally, I organized a "Dress for Success" event, where a colleague and I distributed new and gently used clothing, shoes, coats, and more to women in need of interview attire. I ran a toy drive for several years to support underprivileged and hospitalized children. Furthermore, I have frequently volunteered to feed the homeless, often visiting a shelter on Thanksgiving before celebrating the holiday to share meals and conversations with those in need. Thanksgiving holds a special place in my heart as a time for gratitude, and I wanted to show compassion to those facing challenges. My goal is to change society's perception of the homeless community, emphasizing that many individuals are in need due to circumstances beyond their control and just require encouragement and support to access resources.

In my leisure time, I enjoy swimming, shopping, reading, and cherishing moments with my loved ones.
